Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant II, you will be tasked with a range of essential duties that ensure the financial integrity of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing detailed financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Assisting with the preparation and coordination of audit processes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine and implement process improvements.
Managing accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure flawless transactions.
Conducting variance analysis and providing actionable insights to senior management.
Supporting the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
Proven knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
While not strictly required, the following qualifications would set you apart:
CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Prior experience in the life sciences or technology sectors.
Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives.
