Description
Our client, a leading distribution company, is hiring an
Accounting Associate
who will handle full-cycle accounting, bank reconciliations, month-end close, reporting preparation, accruals, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Internal Control Procedures.
Prepare financial reports for management.
Monitor Accounts Receivable, Payable, and Inventory.
Maintain communication with banks.
Prepare journal entries, cash reports, and reconcile bank accounts.
Approve Accounts Payable and manage tax withholding.
Oversee payroll, excise tax, and Hacienda tax returns.
Close accounting modules and evaluate income/expense variances.
Coordinate corporate tax filings and assist with audits.
Prepare year-end tax documents (W-2, 480) and manage annual tax filings.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
5+ years of experience in similar role.
Bilingual (Spanish and English).
Knowledge of SAGE100, SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite accounting software preferred.
