Accounting Clerk

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be proficient in various accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting tasks such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation
- Responsible for various day-to-day accounting task
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
-Code invoices and payment to vendors
- Collaborate with the finance team on various projects
Experience
- Prior experience in technical accounting, public accounting, or corporate accounting preferred
- Proficiency in debits and credits, general ledger reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Speak, read, write and understand English
- Software skills, Excel, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
