Horizon Financial Management is growing and we want you to join our team! We are looking for a FT Administrative Assistant. General Summary
The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of all HFM departments by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares outgoing mail and faxes for submission to insurance companies and patients. Scans outgoing correspondence, as necessary. Distributes mail and faxes to the appropriate representatives. Coordinates with representatives in all departments as necessary to ensure prompt handling of outgoing correspondence. Posts adjustments to outsourced accounts in clients' systems Ensures all account activity related to mailing and correspondence is documented in Horizon's and clients' systems. Follows clients' return mail policies and procedures. Follows all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) rules and regulations. Interacts courteously and compassionately with other associates. Communications with patients, visitors and clients are friendly and professional. Maintains a professional appearance. Projects a positive image in the community. Other duties as assigned. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to operate basic office equipment, including printers, scanners, and fax machines. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. The interpersonal and communication skills necessary to frequently interact with peers, management, and clients if applicable. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE/REGISTRATION REQUIRED: The level of knowledge equivalent to completion of high school or GED. One year of experience in an office setting and/or clerical position. An understanding of computers and other basic office equipment. Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations and the ability to apply these regulations on a daily basis.
