Summary Job Summary:Under general direction of the assigned Physician Leader, the incumbent provides administrative, operational and organizational services primarily to the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine and coordinates the functioning of services at 3 different hospitals. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations. May screen and interview job applicants and orient new employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Administers or coordinates the administration of personal service or consultantcontracts; ensures that contract provisions are met and that appropriate approvals arereceived.
2. Assist Department Chair with budget analysis and approval of Lawson orders.
3. Assist Chair/Vice Chair review, screen, interview applicants and conduct reference checks.

4. Assist Department Chair with planning, preparing, organizing clinical education programs; CE programs for department and hospital staff at on/offsite facilities including assisting Department Education Director and SRNA Preceptor with resident schedules/onboarding.

5. Assist Department Chair/Vice Chair with labor relations (e.g. employment, benefits and interpersonal relations issues) and compliance staff issues to insure departmental compliance with standard of care practices (e.g. annual competencies, TB/Flu/Fit Test/ certification submittals).

6. Collaborate with HR Recruiters on recruitment process for Physicians/CRNAs and Techs.

7. Coordinates and maintains all coverage and schedules. This involves processing, expediting and credentialing of new staff, coordinating and expediting clearance for employee health process, parking, and facility and IT access. Assist physicians with any timekeeping issues or submissions.
8. Coordinates develops and administers correspondence, attendance minutes, agendas and action items for the department. Also maintains and updates policy and procedure, attendance, handouts, corresponding documentation for all meetings including correspondence both for divisional, departmental and outside agencies in accordance with and subject to Joint Commission Review.
9. Create and update website of assigned divisions, including photos, bios and fellowship information.
10. Represents the department and acts as liaison between multiple departments, locum agencies and outside vendors.

11. Manage all non-clinical aspects of the department including planning, organizing, overseeing daily operations, providing technical (e.g. IT troubleshooting, Amion/Qgenda scheduling issues) and functional guidance to staff and leadership; including training and supervising of interns/volunteers on projects; manage orient/onboarding process with all new hires (and conversely termination process)
12. May Assist Department Chair/Vice with junior staff including anesthesia technician related issues.

13. Plans and conducts administrative or operational studies; determines informationgathering processes; obtains required information for analysis; evaluates alternatives and makes recommendations; prepares reports and makes presentations.
14. Plans, oversees, reviews and personally performs a variety of administrative services in support of division, department of agency activities and functions; including preparation, process and approving AHS employee payroll
15. Prepares and compiles reports from various information systems and databasesregarding complex, sensitive and confidential information to implement change for administrative concerns, policies, procedures, functions and operations.

Qualifications
Required Education: Minimum Bachelor

Preferred Education: Masters degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field.

Required Experience: Healthcare related experience.

Preferred Experience: Five years or more of people management experience, particularly within anesthesia or perioperative medicine.
>Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
