Job Summary:
The Admissions Officer is responsible for managing the patient admission process and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a smooth and efficient admission experience. This role is crucial to ensure that patients receive appropriate care from the moment they arrive.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct pre and post admissions interviews with patients to collect demographic, medical, and insurance information.
Provide patients with information about admission procedures, mobile phone restrictions, and room selection.
Participate in the medical billing process.
Verify the validity of insurance information and obtain third-party approvals when necessary.
Prepare and organize admission files and collect related documentation.
Guide patients through the admission process and obtain necessary signatures on legal and insurance forms.
Assign beds to patients, arrange transportation, and notify physicians of patient arrivals.
Handle emergency situations and coordinate the admission of patients in the emergency room and maternity ward.
Maintain hospital security by adhering to professional standards and hospital policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
1 o r more years of experience in hospital admissions and medical billing.
Proficiency with standard hospital admission technology and databases such as Assertus.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
