General Summary
The Project Manager will manage construction activities of airport heavy civil projects with guidance from a Construction Manager. This position will provide oversight to field personnel and subcontractors to ensure all around success.
Essential Job Accountabilities Ensure a "Safety First" attitude throughout the project from all levels of management and operations. Represent company and project to client, owner, and other entities. Reporting to the Construction Manager, develop, implement, manage, maintain, and administer all processes related to construction at the assigned project(s). Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Ensure construction schedule is met. Understand, plan and lead the project team to carry out the work according to the work specifications and contract requirements. Generate solutions to stay on time and on budget. Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines in the CPM. Work with Superintendents and support all construction activities for the designated projects or activities. Coordinate supplies, subcontractors, Superintendent and Field Engineers that may report to this position. Develop and maintain a working relationship with the owner or the owner's representative. Lead project cost forecasting process and assure compliance of such. Review and approve pay applications, analyze construction cost and assess potential improvements in schedule and activity costs. Anticipate project conflicts/risks, prepare & communicate preventative action plans, and implement solutions to avoid issues. Monitor the cost of equipment on the project and implement strategies to stay within budget. Provide ideas and innovation for the various assigned project(s). Procure and oversee Subcontractors and Suppliers. Define scope of work for subcontracts/purchase orders to be awarded. Review quotes and recommend subcontractors and suppliers for awards of work. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent. Minimum seven years of professional responsibility in a supervisory role in the heavy civil sector, with at least two years of airport related heavy civil work experience. Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Experience in airports, highway, bridge/structures, drainage, earthwork, concrete paving, and/or utility relocation projects. Education BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction. Work Experience Seven (7) to ten (10) years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments. Knowledge, skills, and abilities Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices. Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues. Maintain ability to work in high production environment. Demonstrated decision-making skills. Excellent leadership skills. Excellent supervisory communication and organizational skills. Accuracy at all times. Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. At times will be working around large construction equipment, must be safety conscience.

Base Salary Range:
$120,504.00 - $180,755.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
