The Analyst, Payment Systems (Fraud Data Strategy) is responsible for developing and implementing data analysis & visualization strategic tools that optimize statistical efficiency & provides the team with actionable data. The Analyst will be responsible for the creation and administration of custom dashboards and provide actionable insights based on data & results. This position will be working hybrid and is based in San Juan, PR.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather, review, and analyze unit results and needs, to generate insights, reports and data visualization metrics.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Conduct research for new threats and identify potential trends and patterns using analyzed data to create and optimize data sets and reports that support the team's fraud prevention efforts.
Creates weekly and monthly unit's dashboards, managing and consolidating information for use in management decision making.
Gather, review, and analyze the unit's results and needs, to identify business problems and implement solutions.
Serves as a liaison among partner units in order to analyze, validate, and communicate data and improvement needs.
Locate and define new potential process improvement opportunities as a result of data insights.
Support internal stakeholders in a timely and attentive manner by communicating concerns and future needs.
Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics statistics, math, computer science, or any other business-related degree.
Two (2) years of related experience in data analysis, reporting, metrics, dashboarding required. Financial industry, fraud or security experience preferred.
Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining & data visualization techniques required.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to conduct interactions with business leaders, write technical reports, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and use discretion, exercise good judgment & resourcefulness.
Maintains and promotes a high standard of confidentiality and strong ethical values.
Excellent verbal and written communications communication skills in English and Spanish.
Proficient in the use of MS Office as well as advanced Excel proficiency to retrieve data, create spreadsheets, and reports required.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI as a data management & visualization tool required. Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) proficiency for creating complex calculations, measures, and queries within Power BI is also required.
Adept in integrating AI and machine learning models within Power BI or similar platforms to enhance data analysis and provide predictive and forward-thinking insights.
