Architect and Interior Designer
Key Role:
Research, plan, design, and administer building projects while applying expertise in design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. Consult with customers to determine the functional and spatial requirements of a new structure or renovation. Prepare designs, specifications, materials, color, equipment, and estimated costs. Plan layouts of project and integrate engineering elements into unified design, prepare test fit and preliminary design drawings, and conduct observations of work during construction to monitor compliance with specifications. Apply expertise in technical work, develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity, guide the successful completion of major programs, and function in a project leadership role, if needed. Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with commercial or government facilities design and construction projects
Experience developing design drawings and coordinating with various disciplines
Experience performing architectural surveys, collecting requirements, and interfacing with government personnel such as project managers, building maintenance contractors, or general contractors
Experience assisting with design reviews of government projects and developing high-level cost for construction using historical and research data
Ability to handle multiple demanding and complex projects with accurate results
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Additional Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Architect License or NCIDQ Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
