Assess, develop, implement and evaluate Art Therapy interventions to address the age-specific psychosocial and physiological needs of hospitalized adults and their families Plan and implement art therapy groups for inpatients/outpatients/staff Mentor practicum students/volunteers as appropriate Professional growth, information sharing and collaboration Create and implement innovative ways to expand visibility, research, accountability in the art therapy profession Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. The Shift is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Monday-Friday. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Art Therapy (pending completion of internship) required or Master's Degree in Art Therapy (pending completion of internship) required. Demonstrate competence with a variety of art techniques and skills, and therapeutic art interventions to a variety of culturally, ethnically, racially diverse, medically, developmentally and physiologically impaired patients. Knowledge of research design and methodology, patient assessment and evaluation techniques. Strong interest in multi-disciplinary team approach. Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of art therapy practicum required. PC (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), office equipment, clinical equipment. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Completion of bachelors or masters course work for art therapy approved college or university required.
