The Associate, Credit Servicing (Mortgage Collaterals) request, receives and reviews the collateral documents (Mortgage Note and Deed) of all mortgage loans originated. Position works on-site and is based in Bayamon, PR.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for processing requests for collateral documentation related to the Owned Loan Portfolio.
Responsible for receiving, sending and reviewing the legal documentation. Deficiencies must be recorded and followed until resolution with corresponding departments within established time frames to avoid any possible losses.
Conduct periodic inventories and under no circumstance should collateral be taken out of premises unless it is by an authorized officer, for a justifiable reason and for specific period of time.
Provide custody support in a manner consistent with applicable service and complaint resolution standards and procedures to ensure a high level of service is provided to branches/units.
Responsible of control, check, balance and maintain all designated Accounting Systems, within their area of responsibility, in conformity to Bank regulations and procedures.
Responsible for delivering all the guarantee requested by the Secondary Market for sale to the private investor (GNMA, Freddie Mac, FNMA).
Record the information to request payment for the services of a lawyer & report prospective loans for deposit for the Federal Lending Bank.
Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate, technical degree or approved credits in Business Administration or related field required.
Two (2) years of mortgage related experience required.
Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
Solid communications skills with a demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and effectively.
Knowledge of the policies, regulations and practices that regulate the activities of mortgage loans highly preferred.
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities required.
English proficiency highly preferred.
Computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Office and other business applications required.
