About Navacims
Navacimsare a novel first-in-class nanomedicine designed to treat autoimmune disease by selectively modulating disease-specific cellular responses without impairing normal immunity.Navacimsspecifically target and act only on disease causing effector T cells, delivering a signal that programs effector T cells to differentiate into regulatory T (Treg) cells specific for self-antigens relevant to the patient's disease. These disease- or tissue-specific Treg cells induce immunological tolerance to block undesired immune responses to self-antigens, while maintaining normal immune surveillance and activity.
The Position
We are seeking an Associate Director to lead the In Vivo Pharmacology Team and manage projects enabling the development of Navacims towards clinical evaluation. This role will also establish research and discovery efforts to foster our Parvus product pipeline growth.
Primary Responsibilities:Develop, design and conduct rodent immunological models and studies to guide exposure response relationships.Manage the In Vivo Pharmacology Team, vivarium operations and pre-clinical in vivo studies execution.Serve as study monitor/director in IND-enabling studies performed in-house or with select vendors.Present data at internal and external meetings representing Parvus.Participate in all aspects of vivarium operations, training, and compliance.Comply with employee and environmental safety company guidelines.Requirements: Ph.D. degree in Immunology or related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience or a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with 3-5 years of experience.Expertise in developing immune models in relevant rodent species including but not limited to Type 1 diabetes, colitis, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis.Experience in executing non-GLP and GLP pharmacology and toxicology studies to support regulatory filings.Knowledge of surgical techniques including transplantation and portal vein infusion is a plus.Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.Experience writing study reports and non-clinical sections in regulatory filings.Demonstrated ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects is required.Comfortable working collaboratively in a small, fast-paced environment.Ability to quickly adjust to shifting project demands and priorities.The expected salary range for this role is $170,000 – $180,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
