National Grid is committed to delivering safe, reliable energy efficiency products and services that support State energy goals and initiatives. This role is part of our Customer Delivery Team and is primarily focused on managing the implementation of Commercial and Multi-Family Clean Heat energy efficiency programs and services in our Downstate New York service regions.
This position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction, increase program productivity, and enhance processes through best practices and market-driven strategies.
Key Accountabilities Prepare and submit vendor invoices for payments through the Company's energy efficiency tracking system. Review measures, savings, incentives, and pricing for eligibility and accuracy. Conduct additional quality control checks on each vendor invoice submission to ensure compliance with all program and contract guidelines and accounts payable principles. Follow up with vendors to collect additional documentation needed to support a payment, if necessary. Troubleshoot system payment issues. Assist with monitoring monthly vendor accruals and forecasts. Work with vendors and subcontractors to ensure appropriate accrual training has been completed. Confirm vendors and subcontractor are submitting accrual information and forecasts with justifiable back up information. Conduct additional quality control checks on vendor invoice submission to ensure compliance with all program and contract guidelines and accounts payable principles. Facilitate follow-up, if needed, with vendors to collect additional documentation needed to support a payment, if necessary. Partner with Program Managers to ensure program and financial control processes that deliver safe, quality programs, such as: Customer satisfaction surveys. QA/QC visits and field correction. Appropriate user access to IT and tracking systems. Establish and maintain partnerships with vendor accounting, finance, and incentive processing teams to drive payment processing improvements. Develop data analysis tools and monitor performance for contracted KPIs, program incentives, and payment trends. Prepare replies to additional ad hoc information requests from internal/external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators, upon request. Assist Program Managers in problem-solving customer escalations. Key Accountabilities Continued Support compliance, audit, ethics, security, finance, and regulatory requirements. Provide updates to internal process documents when changes are made. Perform first level compliance review of internal process documents (End-to-End, SOPs, Checklist, Certificates of Insurance, vendor background checks). Provide updates to internal process documents when changes are made. Maintain calendar of compliance due dates. Maintain evidence of completions. Manage 100+ PO balances for New York Energy Efficiency, Program Managers: Create Ariba POs in coordination with Program Managers and Procurement. Evaluate and monitor balances. Plan next steps with PMs and Procurement. Maintain central repository of all contracts associated with Purchase Orders. Centralize insurance liability certificates for all existing and new contracted vendors. Monitor expirations and obtain new certificates, when needed. Manage vendor background check adherence: Oversee consistent background check processes between Residential and Commercial programs. Create and maintain feedback loop between lead vendors, subcontractors, and National Grid on background check verification. Manage customer satisfaction insights for Residential and Commercial Delivery Team. Oversee consistent customer satisfaction insights between Residential and Commercial programs. Maintain customer satisfaction data for feedback to leadership teams. Prepare additional ad hoc information requests from internal/external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators. Develop and maintain a technical understanding of energy efficiency measures and services that apply to programs, technologies, and properties Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required and two years of corporate office experience OR Bachelor's degree in a related area with Intern experience (energy efficiency experience preferred). Proficiency in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Salesforce, Ariba and SAP experience recommended but not required. More Information

$66,000 - $78,000 a year
Salary commensurate with location and experience
