Description
Under the direction of the Athletics section, the Athletics Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in creating a positive and successful athletic experience for participants while ensuring programming sustainability and growth.
Examples of Duties
•Develop, plan, and manage athletic events, programs, program additions and activities that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This may include designing schedules, setting goals and budgets.
•Oversee the use and/or maintenance of athletic facilities, ensuring they are safe for participants and spectators.
•Implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and performance of athletes.
•Stay up to date with relevant athletics rules, regulations, and safety standards for the sports and activities offered. Ensure that the program and participants adhere to these standards.
•Promote the athletic program to attract participants, sponsors, and spectators. This may involve marketing strategies, social media management, and public relations efforts.
•Implement safety protocols to protect the health and well-being of athletes and participants. Implement emergency action plans and risk management strategies.
•Foster positive relationships with the community, parents, and stakeholders.
•Provide regular reports to Athletics management on the program's performance, achievements, and challenges.
•Identify areas for improvement within the athletic program and develop strategies to enhance its quality and impact.
Qualifications
•Willing/able to work both outdoors and indoors, dependent on program.
•Able to pull/lift athletic equipment (with assistance if necessary) such as soccer & lacrosse goals, football equipment, baseball & softball diamond set up and other pertinent athletic activity equipment associated with setting up a field or athletic program space.

$18 - $25/hr DOQ
