Probate Attorney – Royal Oak, MI – In-Person Job Summary Our client is looking for a probate attorney to join their growing probate, estate planning, and elder law firm with offices in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. This role is responsible for managing a caseload from start to finish, including client meetings, drafting, filing, and serving pleadings, and regular court appearances.
The ideal candidate will have: Michigan bar license Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow through Exceptional communication skills Ability to adapt well to change and maintain a positive attitude under stress Multitasking abilities and focus on urgent issues Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel for court hearings as needed Experience in probate litigation (preferred) Responsibilities Meeting with clients initially to determine whether they are in need of our services Drafting, filing, and serving pleadings Managing clients' expectations and returning all calls within 24 hours during the week Regular court appearances in the Metro Detroit area and beyond as needed Managing a caseload from start to finish Requirements Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) Field Experience: 3 years in Probate Law (Wills, trusts, and guardianships), 1 year in Litigation Software Experience: Legal case management software proficiency Perks/Benefits Competitive salary 401(k) Dental Insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Amazing workplace culture
