Job Description

Gpac has partnered with top CPA firm in the Chicago Metro that is looking for an Audit Manager to add to their team on a permanent-full-time basis! They are seeking Audit Managers to assist in a variety of projects including but not limited to for-profit, not-for-profit, governmental, and employee benefit plan audits, as well as reviews and compilations in the office or hybrid!

Job details: Pay - based on a current manager with the experience we're looking for and who would require very little training:
5-7 years of experience - $115,000 - $130,000 7+ years of experience - $130,000 - $142,000 Job Type: Full-time

**AND hours expectations are MUCH lower than average!**

Qualifications: 5 + years of current audit experience within a public accounting firm Demonstrated supervisory experience Bachelor's degree CPA strongly preferred Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards NFP and EBP experience a big plus Ability and willingness to travel as needed (mostly local travel - a couple of out of state clients) Audit Manager Responsibilities:

- Manage financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects.

- Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on the relevant professional and technical guidance.

- Provide recommendations for process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client's operations, processes, and business objectives.

- Assist the staff through counsel, guidance, and coaching.

- Evaluate performance on client engagements and improve internal processes where necessary.

- Demonstrate excellent team skills, a positive attitude, and high ethical standards.
