Description
The Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Specialist will focus on Edupoint's Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q offerings.
Job Summary:
An AWS Cloud Specialist will work closely work with our future development team as well as the Chief Innovation Officer to innovate and implement solutions that leverage the unique capabilities of Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with Edupoint's strategic objectives.
Job Duties: Design, deploy, and manage Amazon Bedrock environments to support scalable and secure applications Implement solutions using Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q, including agent, knowledge base and optimization Collaborate with development teams to integrate Amazon Bedrock technologies into broader application architectures Conduct continuous performance tests and optimization activities on cloud resources Ensure compliance with industry and security standards for all cloud deployments Ensure all solutions adhere to Edupoint's best practices and compliance requirements Provide technical leadership and guidance on AWS best practices, particularly in Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q infrastructure scalability Stay updated with the latest in Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q advancements, evaluating their applicability to our business needs Work closely with developers and management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Other duties as assigned
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS-KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
*Knowledge:
•Experience with AWS services, including extensive work with Amazon Bedrock and familiarity with Amazon Q
•Strong understanding of cloud architecture and quantum computing principals
•Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or similar
•Prior work with quantum computing applications or research preferred
•Knowledge of C# preferred
*Skills:
•Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
•Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
•Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
•Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud preferred
*Abilities:
•Ability to be resourceful, creative, innovative and a self-starter in diagnosing and solving cloud and business problems
•Ability to work in agile and team environment
•Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
•At least 3 years of experience with AWS Services is required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: List licenses, certificates, and registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.
•AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred
Typical Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies, occasionally lifting files, objects or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, copier and other office equipment as necessary. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity necessary to work extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast paced and project intensive. Travel and some extended overnight trips in the performance of duties may be required.
