Ay24-25 Adjunct Faculty, Philosophy

Description*Governors State University's *[College of Arts and Sciences](https://www.govst.edu/cas/)* *seeks to create an available pool of local (Chicagoland area) *Adjunct Faculty* candidates to teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy*.*

Essential ResponsibilitiesWe are particularly interested in adjunct faculty to teach courses in the following areas: Ethics in Healthcare (online), Logic & Practical Reasoning (on-campus), and Philosophy of Religion (any modality).
Interested individuals are invited to complete a faculty profile, attach a curriculum vita, cover letter, transcripts and list of references for consideration. If available, please also include a sample syllabus.
At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.Required and Preferred Qualifications*Minimum Qualifications*
* A Master's degree in Philosophy or a closely related discipline.
* Experience teaching undergraduate classes at an accredited college or university.

* A doctoral degree in Philosophy or a closely related discipline.
