The Behavior Specialist completes assessments, develops strategies based on assessments, writes personalized Behavior Support Plans, and trains and mentors the support team as needed under the clinical supervision of a person with a master's degree or higher in Human Services or a related field.
The Behavior Specialist is responsible for the following: Efficient and appropriate development, facilitation, documentation and updates of Behavior Support Plans, according to the person's Individual Support Plan or as needed based on behavioral status. Demonstrated ability to support individuals with behavioral challenges required. Competency in writing supports plans and effective verbal communication skills required. Capacity to train and mentor others required. Ability to perform duties with limited supervision. Benefits
