Description:
If you're a solid Administrator with proven experience, Jefferson County Planning & Zoning is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant. This position provides you the opportunity to work for a county that thrives on working collaboratively and overcoming challenges. We are seeking a game changer, someone that loves what they do and is motivated to share their knowledge with those that they work with.
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support within policies and procedures. Prepare forms and reports. Monitor the flow of paperwork and files. Facilitate communication between staff. Coordinate staff meetings. Participate in meetings with various divisions. Perform a variety of administrative tasks for Planning & Zoning.
Schedule:
This position operates in office following the counties 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday).
Compensation: Target Hiring Range: 18.09 - 22.61 USD Hourly
Total Base Pay Range: 18.09 - 22.61 - 27.13 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

Essential Duties:
The Administrative Assistant will be able to:
Perform administrative tasks in support of Planning & Zoning, including producing reports, creating, and maintaining documents and completing projects. Maintain documents and information by preparing forms and reports using word processing and spreadsheet programs. Set up computerized notification for BOA Hearing and hearing recording. Prepare documents for the BOA hearing and place them in SharePoint for Board members and staff.Analyze, compare, and make any corrections to Division deposit with Workday batches and system.Enter cases into the permit database and help citizens with paying and submitting information online.Prepare resolutions and minutes from the hearing and complete the electronic recording of the hearing.Perform setup and close down tasks of meetings.Facilitate communication by coordinating between Department/Division staff.Electronically file and retrieve documents, as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education and1 year of work-related experience.Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous experience working in government or planning and zoning.Prior experience reviewing Platt or legal documents.
