Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and processing payroll.
Duties
- Prepare and review financial reports, including general ledger reconciliation and journal entries
- Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial records
- Process payroll, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software, QuickBooks
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and standards
- Perform 10-key typing with high accuracy
- Prepare and submit tax returns, including all supporting documentation
- Perform other bookkeeping and accounting duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a related accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software, including Sage and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of governmental accounting regulations and standards
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- 10-key typing skills with high accuracy
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Experience with journal entries and general ledger reconciliation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.19 - $14.15 per hour
