Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse's aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.
Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care
Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed. There are multiple shifts (day-7:30am-4pm- evening 3:3pm-midnight-nights 11:45pm-7:45am) 3 shifts per week- weekends - at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
• Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse's aide in a hospital.
Required Criteria
• High school diploma or GED
• Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program
OR
Currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year
level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
• Current BLS Training from the American Heart Association
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
