Requirements / Qualifications
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a Bus Driver/Trainer position. Under the direction of the Director of Transportation, to plan, coordinate and organize a classroom, behind-the-wheel bus driver training programs, and documentation according to established laws, rules and regulations. The employee will also review and evaluate bus drivers in training to assure high standards of performance.

Selection Process:
The selection process tentatively consists of the District application screening and Interviews.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience driving a School Bus. Successful completion of an accredited course in school bus driver training can be substituted for six months of the experience.
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES
A California Class A or B driver's license; with a (P) passenger endorsement and a (S) endorsement with a school bus certificate. Must possess a Bus Driver Instructor Certificate issued by the California State Department of Education with no Instructional Limitations. Must be able to be insured, and continue to be insurable, by the District's liability insurance carrier.
SPECIAL NOTE
Effective January 1, 1995, all employees in these classifications are subject to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations for drug and alcohol testing as required by the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991.
