•What are the top 3 must-haves you will be looking for in the resumes/interviews for this role? Benefits experience, LOA admin experience, project management. What type of software skills is an absolute must have? Microsoft suite; Workday
•What are the top 3 "nice to have" that would separate a successful candidate from their competition? A lot of benefits experience. Previous experience outsourcing to a leave admin platform.
•What type of background would you like this person to have? HR/benefits background. How many years of experience are required? 4-6y
•Is this role supporting a specific project or initiative, which project or initiative is this role supporting? It will Annual Enrollment, as well as some other projects that we are working on.
•What will the interview process look like (phone screen, face to face, meet with team, how many rounds, etc)? 1-2 rounds; someone from my team and then me. Zoom is fine. Is there a test in the interview the candidate should be prepared for? No
•What are the working hours, time zone? 830-5 or whatever our regular time is
•Is this role remote/hybrid/onsite? Hybrid preferred with some time in OCB
•What is the duration of this contract and is there a chance it will be extended? 10 weeks and it could get extended; we are hiring for someone who is leaving and if we don't fill the role, we may need to extend.
•What training will be provided for this contractor and what are first day expectations? OTJ training
•What is the day to day of the person going to look like? Please be specific. No day in benefits is the same. Some day's you're dealing with employee issues or resolving tickets. Other days you are helping to set strategy or running reports to make recommendations on benefits design. No matter what the day, I need someone who can come in and hit the ground running with little oversight. The person needs to be quick on their feet and a self-starter.
