Position Summary:
The position is responsible for transporting patient specimens within a prearranged route in a medical facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned or requested: Transport medical items including specimen, and sensitive and confidential documents.Picks up and delivers the applicable items to the correct destinations in a timely manner and based on routing specifications.Interacts with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.Maintains accurate and legible delivery records and obtains customer signatures where applicable.Communicates with dispatch and management when there are delays with delivers, delivery status changes, etc. Skills and Qualifications: Must be HIPAA compliant at all times - Training will be provided.Has knowledge of locating customer locations utilizing a GPS or a map.Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing simple instructions.Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under minimum supervision.Ability to manage time and complete daily tasks.Demonstrates strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of attention to details.Command of written and spoken English PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
