Performs two-dimensional, M-mode, pulsed, continuous wave, and color flow Doppler imaging. *Provides a preliminary interpretation to the reading cardiologist and occasionally house staff. *Observes patient for unusual reactions and monitors changes in ECG or vital signs. *Occasionally assists in other areas of cardiology, i.e. stress testing, holter scanning, ECG editing, pacemaker checks, and cardiac rehab. *Performs and maintains required records for quality assurance. *Insures a safe environment for patients and visitors. Maintains equipment in safe manner, reports to Biomedical department any changes. *Insures appropriate level of supplies. Initiates purchase requisitions for proper authorization. *Maintains current teaching file.
