Minimum Requirements:Parent/caretaker with personal experience with behavioral health disorders. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, and ideally bilingual. Certified Peer Specialist certification required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide outreach and support to all family members enrolled in the CCBHC at every stage, from pre-admission to discharge.Work collaboratively with parents/legal guardians in advocating, parenting, care planning and effectively engaging and interacting in a strengths-based manner.Provide psychoeducation, skill building; participate in home visit planning and processing.Create opportunities for families to support each other via group meetings and activities.Provide warm hand-off referrals to community-based support services.Actively participate as an integral part of the CCBHC multidisciplinary team including family care planning and collaboration.Perform the basic accountability tasks related to the job, which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records.Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness.Actively engage in clinical supervision.Respond in a positive and respectful manner to diversity.Participate in all trainings for the Whole Family Health Model.And other duties as assignedESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledgeable in peer-based practice.Able to connect with people living with mental illness, and/or substance abuse.Knowledge about mental health, physical wellness and stress management and local resources that promote health and wellness.Be a welcoming, guiding and empowering representative of the program.Model a strength-based, family-driven approach.Attend trainings to continually increase competencies.Demonstrated commitment of the value of diversity, equity and inclusion.
