We are currently recruiting a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to work at our Riverview Women's Health practice in Little Silver, NJ.

Per the guidance of Axia Women's Health patient protocol and care center physicians, the Certified Medical Assistant professionally engages Axia Women's Health patients by assisting with patient care, recording critical patient information, and providing information to patients so that they may fully utilize and benefit from our clinical services.

Essential Functions: Adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods and per infection control protocols, preparing exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program. Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting as needed with walking transfers or dressing. Maintaining patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, obtaining, and recording patient vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or imaging reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR in order that the provider may have complete patient information. Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens as needed. Assisting provider with various procedures and screenings. Relaying instructions and pertinent information to patients. Completing forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and that claims can be properly billed. Adhering to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations. Additional duties as assigned. Qualities & Skills: Phlebotomy skills. Ability to independently obtain patient vital signs. Positive and professional attitude. Strong attention to detail & Communication skills. Successful ability to work with teams across the business to maximize the impact of the overall business effort. Ability to work flexible schedule and travel to satellite locations, as needed. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred. Current national certification as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA required. CPR certification required. Minimum 1 year of recent medical assistant experience in a medical facility/office or combination of experience and documented evidence of medical assistant internship. eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience beneficial. OB/GYN or Women's Health experience preferred. Full-Time Benefits Summary: Full-time benefit eligibility beginning the first of the month after hire. 401(k) matching contribution.
