Certified Nurse Midwife - Obstetrics/Gynecology Position Location : Westshore UHMG Midwifery

The Department of Medicine at University Hospitals is seeking a full scope Certified Nurse Midwife with at least 2 years experience for our St. John Medical Center location. This site welcomes approximately 800 babies per year in a level II community setting.

We join you in our excitement with the St. John Medical Center location as it is undergoing a major cosmetic upgrade and a level II NICU. Women chose to birth at St. John Medical Center based on the high touch/low intervention philosophy. A typical work week for our midwifery team is 12 hours in house on call approximately per week with 3 office days and 4 hours of administrative time for a full scope position. We service a high percentage of under-represented minority women in Cuyahoga and Lorain County and are committed to providing the highest quality of personalized care and eliminating the maternal and infant disparities that exist due to structural systems of oppression.

University Hospitals is focused on increasing the number of diverse faculty members in our department and encourage interested midwives of color to apply. Applicants for our Westshore position must have 2 years of current full scope experience.

Qualifications: Qualifications

Qualified candidates must meet Certified Nurse Midwife qualifications for the State of Ohio licensure

• Two years of current experience as a CNM

• Current BLS and NRP certification

• Centering Pregnancy training or experience a plus.
