Job Description

The primary responsibility is to assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring efficiency and safety.

This includes identifying anatomy within the operative field and maintaining positive customer relations.

The Surgical Assistant should demonstrate competency and possess the technical skills necessary for their assigned cases.

They work under the supervision of the manager of the Surgical Assistant s.

Requirements for this position include extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, excellent eye-hand coordination, and the ability to stand for long periods. Sound judgment and knowledge of scientific principles are essential.

Education:

2 years of college or specialty school in surgical assisting.

Additional Details-

4x10 Day/Night rotational: Typical schedules for 4x10 are currently 7a-530p M, T, TH, F and 9a-730p on Wednesdays. Weekend day shifts are always 12 hrs 7a-730p. Includes 2 call shifts per 4 week period. Includes weekends. 4x12: 48 hour rotational shifts. . All day shifts will be 7a start with the exception of Wednesdays 9a starts. All night shifts will be 7p start with exception of Wednesdays 9p start. Includes 2 call shifts per 4 week period and weekends. No set rotation cadence, will rotate as needed in week chunks to day/night.
