This role involves institutionalizing philanthropy, diversifying funding streams, and overseeing the performance and growth of the development team. The ideal candidate will have a significant background in team management, a proven track record in fundraising, and a strong commitment to social, racial, and economic justice.

Candidates for the CDO position at the company should have at least 10 years of successful fundraising experience, with a focus on raising substantial annual amounts and a good understanding of the progressive funding landscape. The role requires excellent leadership and management skills, the ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues, and a deep commitment to the values and communities the company serves.
