About the Role The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to join its pioneering initiative, which was established to catalyze a global movement aimed at transforming political economies to be more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable. The CDO will be instrumental in designing and implementing a revolutionary global fundraising strategy to support this mission. This role demands a bold and innovative professional with a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in the realm of principle giving, and experience in securing multi-million dollar funding. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with major gifts at the seven-figure level, and capable of infusing the organization with net-new funding. Collaboration with a diverse set of partners, including think tanks, labor unions, academic communities, and grassroots organizations, is essential. The CDO will also be responsible for building and leading a team of development professionals and must be adept at managing staff, campaign project, and strategic partnership development.

The ideal CDO for the company will have at least 15 years' of development experience, with a minimum of 7 years' in leadership roles, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. They should possess excellent communication skills, be adept at managing a board of advisors or fundraising influencers, and have a strong interest in democracy and economics. The role requires a candidate who can inspire and lead a virtual team across major philanthropic regions and is committed to the values of diversity and inclusion. The CDO will work closely with the organization's Co-Presidents, economist, and experienced program leaders to shape the fundraising strategy and ensure its alignment with the organization's vision and goals. The position offers the freedom to shape the fundraising strategy and assemble a top-tier team, with a focus on creating a donor-centric approach and engaging with individual philanthropists to expand the global New Economy movement.
