The CDO will serve as the chief fundraiser for their assigned unit, with a focus on securing major and principal gifts to support the unit's priorities. This role is pivotal in the silent phase of a significant campaign, and the successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of approximately 80 prospects and current donors, developing and implementing strategies for donor engagement, and working closely with various colleagues to secure gifts on behalf of the unit.

The ideal CDO will be a proven, hands-on fundraiser with a successful track record in closing six and seven-figure gifts, and will be expected to meet specific prospect visit and solicitation goals. The position requires a creative and forward-thinking leader who is skilled in all aspects of the fundraising process, from prospect identification to stewardship. The CDO will be part of a collaborative team and must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and outside standard business hours as needed, with local and some national travel.
