The successful candidate will be a visionary and mission-driven leader with a proven track record in advancing the principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This role requires a deep understanding of the impact of care systems on the older population, as well as the ability to navigate the complex landscape of public policy and philanthropy. The President and CEO will be responsible for working with the Board of Directors, staff, and external partners to implement the foundation's vision, enhance its position as a leader in the field, and ensure that the needs of historically marginalized and underserved communities are met.
Key responsibilities for the President and CEO include providing oversight and management of the foundation's portfolio, maintaining and growing its capital, and serving as the main liaison with state officials and service provider executives. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 5 years of executive-level experience, and a strong background in fiscal and financial management. They must be adept at building and maintaining relationships, particularly with policymakers and government agencies, and have a proven ability to work effectively with a diverse Board of Directors and staff. The role also involves leading staff development to foster a collaborative and equitable workplace and serving as a mentor to individual staff members.
