The successful candidate will be the face of the organization, responsible for its overall successful operation and fiscal integrity. This role involves working closely with the Board of Directors, overseeing a significant annual budget, and leading a team of over 35 employees. The President/CEO will set priorities, lead the organization's mission and vision, create and implement strategic plans, and act as the spokesperson to various stakeholders, including clean energy organizations, government entities, businesses, and the public.
The ideal candidate for the President/CEO position at the company will have a background in the clean energy sector and be a passionate advocate for clean energy and energy justice. They should possess a deep understanding of the actions needed to promote equitable clean energy adoption and investment. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with Boards of Directors, staff, and partner organizations. A minimum of seven years of experience in executive leadership or senior management within an organization or nonprofit is required. The role demands a leader with a high level of sensitivity, empathy, and emotional intelligence, who can effectively motivate and lead a diverse team towards the organization's goals.
