The CFO will be a strategic and hands-on leader, responsible for the company's finance and accounting functions. This role requires active participation in strategic planning, the development of financial objectives, and the collaborative creation of operating plans, goals, and budgets. The successful candidate will be a key business partner, providing financial data and insights to support decision-making, and will be involved in managing the company's capital structure, financial planning, and operational focus. Additionally, the CFO will lead a team, ensuring a culture of high performance, and will be involved in compliance, audits, and proper financial reporting.
Qualified candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within high-growth SaaS companies with private equity exposure. Deep understanding of SaaS revenue models, expertise in FP&A processes, and a strong background in financial operations and management are essential. The role also requires skills in M&A, SaaS accounting standards, and experience in driving operational efficiencies. The CFO must be a strong leader, with the ability to develop and retain talent, and be technologically savvy, with a commitment to a culture of transparency and continuous improvement. A CPA or CFA is highly desirable, and the candidate should be location agnostic within the US, with a willingness to travel to the company's headquarters in Chicago.
