The CISO will be a key leader in shaping the direction of the cyber program, with a focus on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. This role requires a visionary leader with significant experience in operational and technology risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for all security-related operations, including cloud services, hardware and software, compliance, IT audit, business continuity, disaster recovery, and security operations for a large employee base. The CISO will also be involved in developing and implementing strategic security and data initiatives, in line with the organization's and industry's security standards.

Applicants for the CISO position should have a minimum of 6 years of full-time experience in IT, with a strong focus on networking, infrastructure, and security and risk management. At least 2 years' experience in leadership is required, along with the ability to effectively communicate and operate in a hybrid telework environment. The role demands hands-on experience with a range of technologies, including network topology, security monitoring tools, and cloud environments such as Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, passionate about cybersecurity, and have a strong background in public sector or non-profit industry policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include incident response, access rights management, and vulnerability tracking, as well as working closely with IT leadership and partner agencies to enhance the organization's cyber security landscape.
