The CISO will be responsible for the development and management of board-approved risk frameworks, governance, and policies to mitigate cyber, information security, operational, privacy, and resiliency risks. This role requires a hands-on and strategic approach, including the management of security directives from regulatory bodies and the oversight of the Bank's security monitoring and incident response programs. The CISO will also be a key partner to the executive management, the Board of Directors, and various internal teams, ensuring that all technology projects and services adhere to the company's risk appetite and governance.
Candidates for the CISO position at the company must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in regulated financial institutions, with at least 7 years in a second line of defense information security or cybersecurity leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification are required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a CISO, with a strong technical background in federal and state information security laws, security governance, and risk management. Proficiency in security risk frameworks, and experience in regulatory examinations, particularly with the OCC, are also essential. The role demands a leader with excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills, who can effectively manage a team and ensure a strong risk management culture across the organization.
