This includes contributing to the development, implementation, and auditing of organizational programming, budgeting, strategies, policies, and practices. The successful candidate will be tasked with solving complex problems, identifying innovative solutions, and providing leadership training opportunities. The role also involves working collaboratively with country directors in critical areas such as team support, programming, finance, and communications.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, in a relevant field. Experience in business operations, ministry, and international settings is required, with a preference for those who have worked in international non-profit or similar organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing operational strategies, multi-faceted project management, and a data-based approach to problem-solving. Strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential. The role demands international, cross-cultural work experience, and proficiency in Spanish and English, with French language skills being a plus. The COO will be expected to travel internationally and must be adept at handling matters with staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries in a multicultural environment.
