Our offices are located in the Financial District. About the Job:
The CIS Mediator and Clinical Resources Specialist, in consultation with the Senior Mediator for Supportive Housing, leads on designated conflicts, situational analysis, prep calls, initial investigation and inquiries, when mental and behavioral health conditions are present. They also conduct initial case development to understand the disputant's situation in response to dispute resolution inquiries received through the CIS Helpline and CIS email. They facilitate communication between disputants to guide parties toward mutual agreement, including obtaining information and prepare settlement agreements. Additionally, they provide trainings for internal and external partners on mental and behavioral health topics.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B.A. or Master's in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling preferredExperience may substitute for educationCertified Mediator will be a plusFamiliarity with rules, regulations and policies in public housingFamiliarity with landlord-tenant conflictsClinical or social services advocacy in San FranciscoSpecialized clinical psychology or social services educationExpertise on mental and behavioral health topicsExperience working with people with mental health conditions and/or mental and physical disabilitiesExperience providing trauma-informed, experiential trainingsExperience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
