Conducts nutrition assessments as triggered under mandatory nursing 24 hour admission assessments or at any time during patient admission. Develops appropriate plan of care and communicates with the multidisciplinary team verbally and/or electronically. Conducts reassessments based on nutritional risk assigned and/or change in patient condition or needs. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patients and interpret guidelines to meet age specific needs. Effectively interacts with peers, managers, and other team members and maintains confidentiality as related to job duties.
