What You Will Do Delivering Effective Nutrition Care Critical Thinking & Decision Making Will be placing feeding tubes as part of the dietitian team Communication & Education Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition (Required) Work Experience 3+ years Working as a clinical dietitian in an acute hospital Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program. (Required proficiency) Competent skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) & apply the nutrition care process to patient care. (Required proficiency) Competent skills to evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on the specific combined objective/subjective information for a clinical nutrition assessment. (Required proficiency) Analytical skills to assess patient's condition & provide appropriate interventions. (Required proficiency) Exhibits appropriate & effective communication/interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, physicians and other health care professionals. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire (Required) Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Upon Hire (Required) Maintains the required continuing education credits for Registration and License. (Required) Required to sit for the Certified Nutritional Support Clinician (CNSC) examination and pass within the first year of work.
