Summary:
The Clinical Manager, RN, under the leadership of both the Director of Operations and Medical Director, will be responsible for the ongoing clinical and operational functionality of the practice (operations, workflows, quality and patient experience). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

•Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
•Current State of Illinois RN licensure required. Current State of IN licensure required for those working in Indiana.
•National nursing certification required within one year of hire.
•Five years healthcare, hospital or patient care delivery experience.
•Displays commitment to delivering superior patient experience.
•Strong communicator with ability to influence provider and staff.
•Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems in a complex environment.

1. Provides input towards strategic and long term operational planning.
2. Escalates issues that impact strategy to Director.
3. Supports providers in the delivery of exceptional care.
4. Works with the leadership team to monitor and address patient experience feedback.
5. Review, research and resolve practice specific patient complaints and concerns.
6. Understands and supports providers' productivity challenges and implements practices and workflow changes to alleviate them.
7. Operationalizes institution and department change initiatives and implements approved changes at Practice level.
8. Responsible for converting organizational goals into practice specific goals and drives the goal implementation, including policy revisions and Practice specific quality improvement initiatives.
9. Monitors practice level key performance indicators, scorecards, patient feedback, quality results, patient safety goals, environment of care and financial reports to ensure the Practice remains on course to meet or exceed operational goals.
10. Interprets data and understands how to respond to maximize Practice performance.
11. Identify trends, and underlying issues and institutes resolutions.
12. Motivates staff to perform at their highest level and effectively holds staff accountable for delivery of high quality services including patient care, access and satisfaction.
13. Hires strong talent with appropriate competencies and skill mix.
14. Ensures appropriate staffing in all areas including providing staff training, competency development, orientation and recognition.
15. Direct reports include clinical, lead/charge staff and other non-physician staff.
16. Monitors staff and physician satisfaction and makes recommendations to improve work culture as necessary.
17. Maintain regular, two-way communication with staff to support their achievement of strong performance in support of the practice goals, supports their personal developmental goals and concerns and builds an understanding of Rush and the practice.
18. Responsible for achievement of all compliance, regulatory, joint commission, ECOG/UNOS/OSHA adherence and other regulatory body requirements.
19. Must understand and effectively use EPIC, all systems and software databases to achieve goals.
20. Maintains effective, collaborative working relationships with other RUMG departments and related practices for best practices, workflow, policy and process feedback.
21. Representative on RUMG committees or cross-departmental team to design and implement common standards.
22. Manage availability of resources/supplies.
23. Monitors patterns in purchasing supplies and ensures timely processing of payments and invoices.
24. Serves as a role model whose attitudes and actions support Practice leadership and goals.
25. Acts as a role model and champion for ICARE and employee engagement as well as the patient centered/patient first care model.
26. Keeps up with current development and trends in the area of expertise.
