Job Summary: We are seeking an independently licensed clinician (LICSW, LCSW, RN Clinical Specialist, LMHC or LMHC eligible) to provide leadership in offering training to our 1,000+ staff members in areas that will increase their understanding of the people we serve and improve the quality of services we provide and outcomes we help people achieve. We serve a broad range of populations including behavioral health, developmentally disabled, homeless and managing addictions. The selected candidate will demonstrate experience and proficiency in working with some of these populations, and interest in developing an understanding of the others. Training experience, including curriculum development and in-person presentation of material, preferred. Bay Cove service areas present a dynamic and fast paced environment with many opportunities for supporting our staff in providing effective services and increasing the quality of life of those we serve. This individual will report to the Director of Training & Staff Development.
This is a non-exempt position.
Essential Functions of the Position: Obtain, develop and/or facilitate training addressing the range of clinical and service delivery needs that service staff address routinely, geared to all persons-served and distinct population subgroups as needed
Oversight of training on routine documentation needs, e.g. service/progress notes, incident/event reporting with a habilitation, rehabilitation and recovery through current methods, Individual will ideally have knowledge of documentation for billing and record review
Periodic review of treatment plans and related documents for quality and to identify and address additional training needs
Participation in implementation of career pathways and ladders for newer clinicians and interns,
Incorporate range of behavioral health theory and practices in collaboration with service leaders, performance improvement leaders and managers
Stay abreast of current trends, developments and best practices in relevant fields and replace or improve training programs in order to provide most up to date concepts and practices
Provide oversight to help develop a clinical training curriculum that centralizes the identical and/or comparable training requirements across divisions to limit duplication of efforts and streamline the facilitation of training
Serve as a leader and resource in the planning, providing and documenting services with a foundation of DEI
Work in conjunction with quality and risk management departments to establish on-going training centered around ethical decision-making within the clinical work space with one goal of recruiting and retaining well qualified and performing staff
Leadership of training planning process in collaboration with service and performance/quality leaders and maintenance of current training plans
Job Requirements: At least 2 years as a clinical educator or providing training at a clinical level for a Human Services or other similar or like organization.
Independent practitioner license or license eligible, or equivalent
Experience in conducting clinical training that offer CEU's for attendees and staff
Knowledge of current, best and evidence-based practices in serving individuals with a range of behavioral health conditions and intellectual or developmental disabilities, and experience in researching, developing and providing training on these topics, or the ability to develop these capacities in a timely manner
Proficiency in providing instruction in areas including understanding behavioral health conditions, engagement and communication with individuals with behavioral health conditions, motivational interviewing, trauma and trauma informed services and systems, co-occurring disorders including mental health and addictions, basic clinical documentation and other relevant areas
Proficiency in providing instruction in areas including understanding intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, Positive Behavior Supports, functional task analysis, maintaining boundaries as a caregiver and other relevant areas
Instructional design experience a plus
Bending to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment up to twenty (20) pounds.
Frequent movement throughout the program to access, obtain, or distribute supplies (sometimes pushing or pulling equipment), interact with persons served, etc.
Undertake lifesaving efforts by conducting CPR via the provision of chest compressions and rescue breathing as needed until relieved by medical professionals.
Remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time, as needed.

Operation of a vehicle which requires sitting, detecting and interpreting signs, traffic signals, and the actions of other vehicles.
