CNC Machinist Crown Point, Indiana Manufacturing Job Description Overview Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal workpieces to specifications. Currently, Balemaster is seeking to hire an experienced CNC Operator for their facility located in Crown Point, Indiana. The CNC Operator p lans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal workpieces to specifications. Requirements: Read blueprint drawings and parts list to process parts Experience using hand and power tools Ability to perform basic math skills Basic programming skills Set up, adjust, and efficiently operate CNC and manual machine tools to perform diversified and difficult operations requiring close/exact tolerances on products with various dimension and finish specifications Calculate and set controls and programming to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials into machine Maintain and inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required Clean and maintain machine, tooling, and parts to ensure that the equipment is in optimal production condition Maintain and edit CNC programs to fine tune process for optimum performance Physical Requirements: Heavy industrial environment with mechanical activities requiring personal protective equipment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand for extended periods of time Sit, Stoop, Bend Reach above shoulders Lift 50 pounds Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance First Tier Health Care Plan is Paid for By Balemaster Life Insurance (Paid for By Balemaster) Additional Life Insurance Policy Options for Employees 401(k) & Company Match Employee Stock Purchase Plan Program Paid Time Off (earn up to 15 in a calendar year) Holidays (9 paid) Short- and Long-Term Disability (Paid for By Balemaster) Supplemental Health through AFLAC Overtime as needed Pay Rate & Schedule: Pay rate is based on experience and skill level Full-time Monday - Friday Looking for either first or second shift Qualifications Pre-employment Requirements Background check Drug Screening Physical Pay Details: $25.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
