What you'll do as a Coax Splicer II Perform tasks associated with electronic upgrades and splicing of coaxial cable, both aerial and undergroundTest, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installationEnsure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standardsSafely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the airComplete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checksDocument work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage recordsOther duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardAt least two years of coax splicing experience Additional qualifications Knowledge of telecommunications network structure Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouseOccasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles Why work with us
