The Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all estimates are detailed and reflect the scope of the project.
Client Details Our client, a well-established general contractor specializing in commercial projects, is seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join their team. With a focus on quality and innovation, they work on a range of projects including office buildings, retail spaces, and mixed-use developments.
Description Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate cost estimates. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment. Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Collaborate with project managers and design teams to provide value engineering options. Analyze project risks and provide solutions to minimize costs and improve efficiency. Prepare bid proposals and present them to clients. Maintain accurate cost databases and industry knowledge to support competitive pricing. Profile 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building systems. Proficient in estimation software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam). Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
