Communications & Development Coordinator

The Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET) seeks to hire a Communications and Development Coordinator. This person will communicate IMET's achievements within the University System of Maryland and to our stakeholders, including donors and members of the local community as well as the national and international scientific community. The Communications and Development Coordinator will nurture IMET's existing donors and grow our network of donors, including individuals and foundations. This position will report to the Executive Director.
The duties of this position include: managing IMET social media; communication via the IMET website, including quarterly on-line newsletters that include video content; producing IMET's Annual Report together with the Executive Director and Associate Director; writing proposals to foundations; pursuing fundraising opportunities with individual donors and foundations.
