We seek to build a team of individuals willing to work hard, be creative, build on opportunities, and think out of the box.All KAVI team members are expected to carry themselves professionally.Job SummaryThis role will attend community events (meetings, resident affairs), engage with residents to provide information on available services and resources within the community and Brooklyn, and support events hosted by KAVI and our partners.KAVI is seeking a Community Associate to represent the organization in two functional areas:External Affairs and Relations, including attending and participating in community and private events.Community and Stakeholder engagement includes recruiting people and participants into our programs and projects.External Affairs and Relations:The Community Associate will work closely with the MAP Engagement Coordinator to identify and attend external-facing events important to the organization, align directly with KAVIs mission, and support the overall spirit of KAVIs work with youth and communities.Community and Stakeholder Engagement:This position will also engage individuals, communities, and organizations in which KAVI operates and seeks to operate. It will represent the organization at external events and meetings including, but not limited to, conferences, convenings, working groups, and consortium activities.This position will be integral in planning, implementing, and coordinating KAVIs community relationships and events.
