Westerwood is actively seeking a full-time Community Outreach Coordinator to add to our exceptional team and community. The community outreach coordinator will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with residents, their families, and the local community. This position is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of community outreach, marketing, and sales to ensure the growth and success of the Westerwood community and will provide backup coverage to the assisted living/memory care & independent living sales counselor. Other responsibilities include:
Obtain referrals from professional referral sources, community outreach, hospital social workers, physicians, and/or family members. Event planning: Plan and lead events, including fundraising events Community relations: Represent the organization and advocate for its projects in the community Generate sufficient referral activity to achieve and maintain occupancy goals as outlined in the marketing plan for Westerwood assisted living and memory care. Create new and maintain existing relationships with potential referrals sources to achieve referrals for the community. Responsible for preparation and implementation of a Marketing Action Plan which will detail the planned and actual contacts made with professional referral sources. Will schedule sufficient activity to generate the number of referral leads outlined in the Marketing plan. Develops and implements site events, special events and presentations targeted as community education, establishing and maintaining status for the community Participate in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a home industry and, in particular, of the community's capabilities. Ability to plan and work within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for the input and maintenance of referral activity in the customer relations management system. Helps coordinate site events with Director of Marketing. Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and resident retention. Provide tours of and pertinent information about the community and ensure the team is appropriately trained to handle inquiries consistently when needed as backup for assisted living/memory care and independent living
Qualifications include excellent verbal and written communication skills, one-year experience in community outreach and/or senior living sales is preferred; education or experience in sales, public relations or sales psychology is desirable; strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. Must also be goal-oriented, driven, and possess strong communication and presentation skills.
